Problem: Branding for local cafe and catering company was outdated and did not represent them accurately.
Solution: The new brand carries over the spoon, symbolizing that little special something that makes a recipe "just right", from the old design. The new mark embodies the nautical, refined atmosphere of Annapolis and utilizes a more appetizing color palette.

Problem: Our clients had just purchased a luxury condo in Snowmass, Colorado and saw an opportunity for their website to become a valuable resource for visitors to the ski town.
Solution: We let the imagery do the talking, as these sweeping views of Snowmass certainly captured our attention. The website was designed to showcase the imagery, and present the information in a straightforward and easy-to-use site.
Problem: During my senior year of college, our campus Art & Literature journal only existed on paper, but we saw the need to create an online version.
Solution: I collaborated with two other senior design majors to design and develop the site to showcase Anderson University's Art and Literature Journal. I was also the lead photographer for the staff and student work. Winner, Best in Show, AIGA Flux 2010
I enjoy the opportunities that branding projects present, as they always challenge me to create something both unique and specific; embodying the company / individual in a simple mark. In some ways, these marks are design in its purest form: visual elements assembled to communicate thoughts, feelings and ideas, which in turn convey the essence of a company or organization.
Problem: DP Solutions had an outdated logo and website, which did not present a positive face for the IT solutions company. So, they came to Pomerantz for help.
Solution: Illustrations combined with imagery create an engaging entry point into the specific solution areas. The brand is updated and embodies the way in which DP Solutions empowers their clients to solve their IT problems. The site clearly presents the information in a way that is easy to find and digest.
One of the biggest benefits of working with Focus Lab on an ExpressionEngine project is our vast experience with the software. The longer you spend with a product, the better you know it, and we know EE inside and out. We've been building sites with it, building add-ons for it and teaching others how to use it for years. If you need guidance finding a solution for your EE project, we can help. Even if you just need us to lend and ear to an idea, we would love to help.
